El 14 de març a Corea es cel·lebra el White Day. És una data purament comercial que cau expressament just un mes després del dia de Sant Valentí, on les noies regalen dolços i xocolatines als nois. El White Day representa la recompensa, aquesta vegada són els nois qui regalen xocolates, dolços i espectaculars lots de regal amb ninots de peluix inclosos. L'origen de la data és al Japó, on a finals dels setanta, es va iniciar aquest costum. Per aquesta data apareixen també uns paquets de Chupa-Chups especials, de diferents mides i gustos. Els combini o botigues 24 hores tenen prestatgeries i aparadors muntats expressament fora al carrer oferint tots aquests productes amb reclams com globus, llums i música a tot volum per atraure clients.
March 14th is the White Day in Korea. Is a pure shopping date that is exactly one month after St.Valentine's Day, when girls offer candy and chocolates to boys. Whit Day represents the payback, and this time are the boys who buy chocolates, candies and huge gift sets, teddy bears included. The origin is in Japan, around the end of seventies, when this tradition started. On this date, there are special sets of Chupa-Chups, of different sixes and flavours. The convinience stores have shelves and showcases outside the street offering all this kind of products with claiming stuff such as balloons, lights and full volume music to catch some customers.
